The "flatback" synth is a circuit bending
project started on a Youthtronics YEP-135 mini keyboard. Several modifications
have been performed to this unit including body contacts, rhythm pitch
control, bass cut, noise filter, audio line output, and audio line input.
A coat of black spray paint was applied to enhance the appaearance of this
machine. The final result is far superior to the original form which was
rescued from a thrift store for under three dollars.The image on the left
